Attard kien involut għal żmien twil fil-Kumitat Eżekuttiv tas-Soċjeta Filarmonika Maria Mater Gratiae meta kien involut bħala Deputat fis-snin 1955 – 1956 u 1959 – 1960. Bejn 1956 - 1958 u 1960 sa 1981 kien Segretarju, Waqt li bejn l-1982 u 1988 mexxa lis-Soċjeta bħal President fi żmien iċ-ċentinarju tal-każin. U bejn 1988 u 2014 President Onorarju Ad Vitam.

Joseph C. Attard miet nhar it-13 ta’ Marzu 2014 fl-età ta’ 89 sena.
