Josef Camilleri born on 21 October, 1983. He comes from Ħal-Qormi. He is singer guitarist.

He started his musical experience at the early age of six. He attended melodica classes but soon progressed to piano which he pursued until passing Grade 5. He then switched the piano for guitar and has guitars have been his love in life ever since.

Josef played in various bands from his days in college to this present day. Past musical experiences include winning best band in JC battle of the bands 2000 with 497 and joining SIGO between 2011 - 2014 and playing in many clubs and venues including The Alley, Hard Rock Cafe, Local Council events and BeerFestivals.

He recorded two songs with Milk Mi in 2011 and his latter band was a three-piece called Alles Klar. Then in middle of 2013 he and Luke Agius decided to team up in an acoustic duo format and together they are both known as Xarulu'. And Released ‘Grand Paris’ August 2015.

Josef Camilleri's love for guitars has pushed him into setting up the page Cross Guitar Works on Facebook where he shows his instrument builds from the workshop to his friends artists and fans. His latest project was to redesign and manufacture a Maltese guitar from scratch and updating its build quality, materials, playability and sound for modern day musicians locally and foreign. This guitar features heavily in his recordings with Xarulu’.

Josef is a SLS vocal tuition with Joshua Alamu - UK The Voice vocal coach "MadAboutTheVoice" got Grade 4-5 Music Theory Royal London College and Grade 1-3 Music Theory and Grade 1-2 in Piano Practice Trinity College.
