Jonathan Laferla was born on the 28 November 1976. He is a lecturer of Religion at Ġiovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School. He lived in Birkirkara and now in Sliema.
He started acting at the age of six, when in 1983 his parents formed a drama group and put up plays, mainly passion plays directed by his mother in the local parish at Birkirkara.
Jon acted regularly with this group for 12 years. In 1996 he was called to take part in another passion play in Naxxar under the direction of Tonio Vella, and then between 2000-2004 in Valletta.
