John was born in St Paul's Bay, one of fourteen siblings, on 3 February 1946 and was married to Ismeria neé Chetcuti. They had three children: James, Mark and Sarah.


In his youth, John used to play accordion, and joined [[The Rangers]] beatgroup on bass guitar.

John was an able builder and contributed in the construction of Mellieħa’s Società Filarmonica La Vittoria club of which he was an honorary member. He was also a regular sponsor of fireworks for the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady.

John Bartolo (3 February 1946 - 25 July 2017) was a bass player and builder from Mellieħa, Malta. He was known as “Johnny tat-Tirlikku”.

John was born in St Paul's Bay, one of fourteen siblings, on 3 February 1946 and was married to Ismeria neé Chetcuti. They had three children: James, Mark and Sarah.

In his youth, John used to play accordion, and joined The Rangers beatgroup on bass guitar.
