JeanPierre Mifsud was born on 3rd December 1979 in Pietà.

The youngest of 3 children, he is son to Anthony and Consiglia Mifsud. He lived in Ħaż-Żebbuġ during his first ten years of life and thereafter moved to Paola, where he has resided since. He attended Ġuże’ D’Amato Secondary School as well as the trade school at Bighi in Il-Kalkara. He has been married to Priscilla Mifsud since 2010 and together they have a son called Gabrijel.

Since a very young age, JeanPierre Mifsud took an interest in music radio programmes, mainly at the time Radju Malta 1 and Radju Malta 2. He remembers listening to Norman Hamilton and Charles Fenech on the said radio stations. At an early age, he started collecting casettes and vinyl. Elvis Presley has always been a top favourite, along with groups like Queen and Pink Floyd. His teenage years were marked by the 90s which offered an eclectic selection of music, which is still yearned for to this day.

The first opportunity at presenting a radio programme came about in 2002 on Radju Hompesch, a local radio station in the town of Ħaż-Żabbar. It was a once-weekly programme titled ‘Back in Time’ which lasted two years, focusing on a selection of music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. JeanPierre Mifsud always had a love for past hits as much as current music.

From 2004 up until 2007, JeanPierre Mifsud hosted a once-weekly 2-hour radio programme titled Night Shift on Super 1 Radio. Prior to becoming a presenter on this national radio station, JeanPierre Mifsud had to undergo 3 months of training under the supervision of Mr. Ray Azzopardi, then Head of Programmes of the mentioned station. Here again JeanPierre Mifsud graced his listeners with hits ranging from the 50s to the 70s eras, also focusing on tunes which are hard to come by.

Eventually JeanPierre Mifsud had several radio experiences, including an 8-month experience with a 2-hour radio programme for all the family on Radio 101, focusing on all-time hits. His experience as radio presenter was marked by a significantly longer stay on RTK Radio, hosting a Sunday afternoon programme titled Memorji as well as drive-time programmes during the Summer schedule, again focusing on all-time family favourites with hits from the past up until the present day.

In October 2018, JeanPierre Mifsud started airing a once-weekly radio programme on the national radio station belonging to PBS, Radju Malta 2, with the same programme eventually shifting to Radju Malta 1. The programme titled Romantic Moods offers a slow, mellow theme allowing listeners to wind down at the end of the day with romantic hits from all genres including pop, rock, country and raggae and in a variety of languages.

JeanPierre Mifsud enjoys collecting all genres of music, whether in CD format or vinyl. He tries to source music which is less heard of as well and in various languages. He keeps collections of various themes whether pop, rock or country music, Italian songs as well as compilations from particular festivals such as Eurovision and Sanremo. He backs up his knowledge with encyclopedic books about music such as multiple editions of British Hit Singles & Albums and Top Country Singles.

JeanPierre Mifsud particularly treasures Maltese hits from all eras and follows such annual appointments including Mużika Mużika - Festival Kanzunetta Maltija), L-Għanja tal-Poplu, Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza and Festival Tal-Kanzunetta Maltija Għall-Ewropa. For some time, from October 2016 up until June 2017, JeanPierre Mifsud would record a radio programme, also titled ‘Memorji’ for Marsa local radio station Trinitarji FM with the sole focus on Maltese tunes.

JeanPierre’s love of music has taken him to the live DJ stand, with his career taking flight with Charles Fenech in 2006, when he acted as guest DJ during the Fenech’s disco parties at Tattingers, Rabat, offering dance hits from the 80s and 90s up until the present day. Charles Fenech proved to be an important mentor in Mifsud’s life, especially with regards to live DJing. JeanPierre Mifsud has been offering his professional services as DJ at various private functions including themed nights and at weddings since 2002.

In his free time JeanPierre Mifsud supports and follows his favourite football team, Juventus. He obviously loves listening to music as well as travelling, eating out and reading books in Maltese, especially by his favourite author Trevor Zahra.
