Janice Mangion

Janice Mangion was born on 27 Febuary, 1989 and comes from Santa Venera. She is a singer.

Working as a sales office clerk. Studied hairdressing at the institute of community services MCAST, achieving her diploma.

Her music path takes us back to 2003, when she started taking vocal lessons with Helen Micallef, a former Maltese performer at Malta’s second attempt in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1972. Since then Janice has been taking lessons in the piano forte.

Her television exposure includes a number of appearances on variety shows and performances in festivals. Janice reached one of her milestones in 2007 when she formed part of the successful television talent show L-Isfida.

Over recent years we met Janice on a national scale at the finals of the Malta Hit Song Festival 2008 for the first time, where she sang Turn Back Time compose by Ray Agius with lyrics by Rita Pace, In 2010 with Before You Leave by Mark Scicluna and in 2011 with Ain’t My Kind Of Love by Rita Pace and Mark Scicluna, and on 2014 Edition with The One by Renato Briffa and Keith Zammit.

We have also met Janice as a finalist at the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza in 2010 and 2011 where she placed third in the latter with the song Eternita, and on 2012 she was one of the finalists with the song Nibqa.

Janice Mangion

We met her at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest as a backing vocalist with Kevin Borg, Marilena Gauci and Franklin Calleja, and in 2012 as a solo artist with the song While Her eyes still glow.

She was also one of the finalists of L-Għanja tal-Poplu with the song Irrid Ngħix.

She is one of the members of the Animae Gospel Choir .

Janice also joined the new comer band Within Us All as the lead vocalist, currently writing new lyrics.

On 18 February Janice sing at the Final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2017 the song 'Kewkba' who was the only Maltese song among the sixteen finalist, penend by Emil Calleja Bayliss and music by Mark Scicluna and get the 2nd.Place with 4,544 votes from the public, where this year, the jury was the public with a televoting result.
