JAMM Band

JAMM Band is a versatile band which can play most styles and genres of music. The band has recently seen some changes in the roster which currently is formed by: Kevin Gatt (Guitar), Chris Abela (Bass), Anthony A. Cachia (Guitar and Vocals) and Mark Cachia (Keyboards and Vocals) as well as Wayne and Steven Bartolo as guest drummers. JAMM Band also features a roster of guest musicians and singers who join the band during various performances. The band was formed in March 2009 as a 7-piece band for the concert 'Canzoni Vs Songs' which was held at the Ta` Qali Greek Theatre. The aim of this concert was to raise money for the voluntary philanthropic organization 'Reaching Out'. The band's next performance was at the closing ceremony of 'Mellieha Nights' (Iljieli Mellehin). It was at this performance that the name JAMM (previously used by the trio formed by Joe Muscat, Anthony and Mark Cachia) was used for the 7-piece band. Since then the band performed during several functions and various charity concerts as well as providing the live accompaniment at various musicals. In August 2010 JAMM performed in Adenau - Germany for the Heimatfest in collaboration with the Mellieha Local Council. In August 2013 JAMM Band released their first song on YouTube entitled “Rigal Kbir Ghal Kulhadd” which gave a new dimension to the band while still entertaining audiences throughout the Island.
