Ishmael Grech

Ishmael Grech born on the 5 February 1993. He comes from Ħal-Qormi, He is a male vocalist know for his flame-haired.

Ishmael started singing at an extremely younger age, noting that his love towards the arts has always been evident. Just to prove this statement, at the tender age of 4, he was a supporting actor in the leading television series, “Sossy”.

In the years 2006, and 2007, Ishmael made the final stage of the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006 and Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the songs “My Life” and “I Believe” which he penned himself. Both songs showed his distinctive vocal range, and were received well by both the judges, and the audience.

Just a couple of years later, as an adult, he made the finals of the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2010 and Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2012 with the songs “Abjad u Iswed” u “Missjoni Impossibli”, both penned by Rita Pace with music by Philip Vella.

In 2016, 4 years after his last experience in a national festival, Ishmael joined VocalBooth Studios under the tutorship of Glen Vella, and also appointed Marc Calleja Bayliss of Ironic PR & Artist Management as his manager and publicist.

On 19 September, 2017 Ishmael taken part in Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2017 with the song Polż Iħabbat lyrics by Emil Calleja Bayliss and music by Philip Vella.

On 31 August, 2019 Ishmael was one of the finalist of the 43 Edition of L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2019 – Festival tal-Kanzunetta Maltija with the song Fil-Klassi words and music by Mark Cachia

On Thursday 26 August, 2021, made it to the final of Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2021 Ishmael Grech performed the song Bla Ħafna Reċti lyrics by Emil Calleja Bayliss and music by Philip Vella. On the final night held on 18 September, 2021, at he performed the song Bla Ħafna Reċti lyrics by Emil Calleja Bayliss and music by Philip Vella.
