Indri Farrugia l-Miramew

Indri Farrugia l-Miramew was a high pitched folk singer. Born in Mosta he passed away in Detroit. He folk sang regularly in Mosta and with Karmnu Xuereb In-Namru and Wiġi Micallef Ix-Xidja in Maltese community clubs in North America.

Regarded as one of the best high-pitched folk singers in Malta, the fact that practically no information has been collated about Farrugia is clear evidence how the curatorship of Maltese folk music has been ignored by the local academic circles or archiving institutions. He passed away in Detroit in the 1980s.
