The text currently on this page needs further work. It was most likely imported or reproduced from a website associated with the subject of the page - possibly through a process involving far-from-perfect machine translation, often with awkward results. It is awaiting the attention of an experienced M3P editor, which could be you. Formed in January of 2007 in the Mediterranean island of Malta , 'In The Name Of' was made up of 4 members, Thomas on vocals, Leli on guitars, Julian on bass, and Steve on drums. From day one, Self-reliance and musical integrity are two principles to which In The Name Of as a band have always lived by.

The band spent much of their first year writing and demo-ing material, until in March 2008, when they were offered an opening slot to support fellow locals SLIT (Anti-culture records) and esteemed German band DEW SCENTED (Nuclear blast records). A string of local gigs followed including a slot on the main stage at the annual Extreme Metal Festival 2008.

2010 marked another chapter in the History of In The Name Of when in early February the band had to part ways with Thomas due to other commitments and Melchior Borg was added to the fold. It was a great ride and In The Name Of would like to publicly thank him for his contributions over these past years.

The band completed recording their debut album at Spine Splitter Studios, which has yet not been released officially.

2012 brought along another change for 'In The Name Of', with the recruiting of Sean Christie on guitar duties alongside Leli. New crushing material followed this addition and a string of live gigs for 2012. 2013 marked yet another lineup change with the addition of Matt Mangion on bass duties.
