Clean-up Needed

The text currently on this page needs further work. It was most likely imported or reproduced from a website associated with the subject of the page - possibly through a process involving far-from-perfect machine translation, often with awkward results. The Grand Ballroom

For over 60 years the Grand Ballroom has been a landmark in Maltese history. It was here, that Her Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth II waltzed on the solid-wood parquet dance floor, and the ballroom has hosted everything from intimate family lunches to lavish wedding receptions ever since.

Today this stunning space is still available for weddings and events in Malta, comfortably catering for up to 350 seated guests. The Ballroom Balcony also complements it, providing comfortable seating and ambient lighting. Private cloakroom facilities, as well as a separate entrance, are also available.

Hotel Phoenicia

Malta’s first 5-Star Hotel

The Phoenicia is Malta’s premier luxury hotel and the ideal 5-star Wedding venue for civil ceremonies in Malta, as well as for lavish receptions. The hotel has a long and prestigious history, having opened its doors in 1947. Since then, it has become a national treasure, with an impressive archive of past guests that includes socialites and European royalty.

The hotel is superbly located at the City Gates of Valletta, near the imposing bastion walls which were built to protect Valletta from outside forces. It is also within easy walking distance of:

  • Valletta’s commercial, political and financial centres
  • St John’s Co-Cathedral
  • The Grand Master’s Palace
  • The numerous Auberges built by the Knights of St John.

Other assets include the hotel’s luscious 7.5 acre gardens and its collection of paintings by Chev Edward Caruana Dingli and other Maltese artists. Above all, the Phoenicia prides itself on its award-winning service and excellent facilities, which make it the perfect retreat for a wedding in Malta where all your needs will be met.
