Clean-up Needed

The text currently on this page needs further work. It was most likely imported or reproduced from a website associated with the subject of the page - possibly through a process involving far-from-perfect machine translation, often with awkward results. It is awaiting the attention of an experienced M3P editor, which could be you. It may be slightly out of date, or may need other elements taken care of appropriately, including proofreading or copy-editing for grammar and style.

Mro. Francesco Zammit twieled nħar l-24 ta’ Mejju 1834 ġewwa iż-Żurrieq. Magħruf fiż-Żurrieq bħala ‘’Marigos’’.

Fl-1865 nissel banda fiż-Żurrieq minn orkestra li kienet għaddiet taħt idejh. Il-Banda bl-isem ta’ Filarmonica Del Zurrico kienet newtrali u kienet tieħu sehem fil-festi tar-raħal bla ebda distinzjoni.

Interessanti l-fatt li għal ħafna żmien is-Surmast Francesco Zammit kien wieħed mid-diriġenti tal-Fratellanza tal-Madonna tal-Karmnu.

Miet għażeb ta’ 65 sena nħar id-29 ta’ Ottubru 1898, u l-fratellanza tal-Madonna tal-Karmnu ħallset is-somma ta’ żewġ xelini (għaxar ċenteżmi) għat-trasport tal-kadavru tiegħu, kif kienet id-drawwa f’dawk iż-żminijiet. Huwa jinsab midfun f’qabar mhux immarkat fil-knisja parrokkjali tar-raħal.
