Clean-up Needed

The text currently on this page needs further work. It was most likely imported or reproduced from a website associated with the subject of the page - possibly through a process involving far-from-perfect machine translation, often with awkward results. It is awaiting the attention of an experienced M3P editor, which could be you. It may be slightly out of date, or may need other elements taken care of appropriately, including proofreading or copy-editing for grammar and style.

Francesca Zammit

Francesca Zammit was born on July 17, 2000. She lives in Swatar and she is a singer and a pianist. This year she will also be studying Maltese at the University of Malta.

At the age of 8, she started piano lessons and at the age of 15 she started attending singing lessons at Vocal Booth Studios under the guidance of Julie Pomorski.

She has also been a choir director for the past 2 years at Swatar’s Parish Church and she is experienced in singing in masses and also in weddings. She also forms part of a band, in which she is the main singer and pianist.

Francesca took part in various concerts. She formed part of Ġensna’s choir in 2008 and also recently in 2019. In January 2018 she formed part of the Valletta 2018 choral symphony Elfejn u Tmintax on the steps of St. John’s Cathedral, in which the music was composed by Elton Zarb with lyrics by Joe Julian Farrugia and the choir was under the direction of Pamela Bezzina. On the 7th of June 2018, Francesca also took part in Valletta Pageant of the Seas at the Grand Harbour.

Francesca will be one of the finalists in the 43rd Edition of L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2019, (Festival Kanzunetta Maltija) which will be held on August 31, 2019 with the song Din Għalik, which Francesca herself wrote together with her vocal coach Julie Pomorski.

This is the first time that she will be competing in this festival and she wishes to continue progressing and someday become a professional singer.
