Floren Sultana

Floren Sultana (born 27 September 1991) is a Maltese singer who grew up in Sta Lucija before moving to San Ġwann.

She made her public debut at the tender age of five in Doreen Galea's choir and participating in a number of local song festivals. However, she credits Brian Cefai as the one who taught her most about her voice.

By the time she was thirteen, Floren formed her band Chordust. The band attracted considerable local radio attention.

Floren also wrote and co-wrote some of the band's best hits including the songs Not A Fan and Hyperbolic Attitiude.

Aside from music, Floren she has worked as photo model, make-up artist and nail technician. She has also appeared on television. In 2011, Floren was one of the protagonists of the reality show Iżolati on One TV. In 2012 Floren was cast in the TV drama Xablott.

Around the same time Floren also appeared as resident singer for the weekly TV programme Appuntament, performing acoustic renditions of popular songs.

In 2013 Floren travelled to London to take part in the X-Factor, making it to the third audition, falling short just before the final audition.

On 5 June 2014, Floren launched her first music video as a solo artist. Favourite Waste of Time is directed by Martin Farrugia.
