This Festival tal-Kanzunetta Maltija għall-Ewropa 1993 (Festival of Maltese Song for Europe 1993) was organized together by the Ministry of Youth and Culture under the auspices of Minister Dr. Michael Frendo, the Festival was held on 11, 12 and 13 March 1993. At the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.

The Organising Committee for this Festival was made by Gaetano Abela as the chairman of the Festival, Robert Cefai Secretary and Sue Zammit, Frans Fenech, Joe Vassallo, John J.Pace, Alfred Debono as members.

Prizies Rewards

. Song Classification in First Place The song represents Malta in the Eurovision Song Festival 1993. Five hundred pound Maltese to composers / authors i or invitation Composer and Author to attend to the evening final of Eurovision (2 Posts) The Singer/s or group is given one hundred and fifty Maltese Lira (Lm 150).

Song Ranking Second Place Three hundred and fifty Maltese Lira to the composer / Author, Hundred Maltese Lira to singer/s. (Lm 75).

Song Third Place Ranking Two hundred Maltese Lira to the composer / Author and Seventy Maltese Lira to Singer/s. (Lm 70).

Memorial Trophy given to the composers, authors and singers main winners of three songs, namely three for each song.


Memorial Trophy also given to the musical arranger of the song in the first place winners

Memorial Trophy awarded to the best interpretation. Eighty Maltese Lira (Lm 80) given to those songs that made it to the finals and with qualify for the first three places

The program of the Festival was so

Thursday 11 March 1993 at 7.30pm

Songs sung in English version. After the first ten songs, done interval of 20 minutes. After the other songs Ministries, a display of min Dor Fashion Boutique and Moyga / Playboy Men's Wear Shop.

Friday 12th March 1993 at 7.30pm

The same day as the Pre only version sung English songs. The selection board will select eight songs that qualify for final


The Saturday 13 March 1993 at 7.30pm

Termination sung songs in Maltese first, then English. Interval of 20 minutes exactly warjah exhibition Fashion.

Winners and becomes the Presentation by Hon. Minister Dr.Michael Frendo.
