Fabian Galea

Fabian Galea born on 18 October, 1985 at Victoria Gozo. He is a Singer.

Started singing at an early age and took up classical voice studies in Malta at the Johann Strauss School of Music with mezzo-soprano Claire Massa and later on with Bulgarian Soprano Andriana Yordanova.

Throughout his singing career, Fabian has ventured in various musical theatre and operetta roles: Les Miserables (as Marius / Thenardier), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (as Joseph / Judah / Potiphar / The Pharoah), Oliver (as Fagin), A Slice of Saturday Night (as Gary), The Scarlet Pimpernel (as Ozzy), Fiddler on the Roof (as Motel the Tailor), Jesus Christ Superstar (as Simon Zealotes), The Little Sweep (as Alfred the Gardener), in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas (as The Sailor) and in Grease (as Roger).

He has participated in a number of vocal master classes in Malta with exceptional artists and coaches such as Soprano Juliette Bisazza Zanni, Mro. Carlo Ventura, Canadian Baritone Daniel Lichti, XFactor Vocal Coach Anne Marie Speed and acclaimed pianist Robert Sutherland.

Fabian Galea

Fabian is currently furthering his vocal technique with established singer and vocal coach Pamela Bezzina at VocalBooth Studios. He forms part of the acclaimed Animae Gospel Choir directed by Pamela Bezzina and he is also one of the lead singers within DCapitals Band directed by Mro. George Apap. Fabian was also one of the main singers in the RockAstra 2006 concert directed by Mro. Sigmund Mifsud.

Fabian had his debut at the [[Astra Theatre] as Roger, one of the T-Birds in “Grease – The Musical” in 2016 and then in March 2017 he featured as Augustin Magaldi in EVITA. In November/December 2017 he played the role of Motel the Tailor in a local production of Fiddler on the Roof at the Oratory St. John Bosco Theatre in Victoria, Gozo under the musical direction of Mro. John Galea.

He has now been cast as one of the High Priests in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar which will be held at the Astra Theatre in March 2018 under the direction of London-based director, Hugh Wooldridge who is closely associated with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
