His father is James Pawney Jimmy Il-Bormliż
His father is [[James Pawney Jimmy Il-Bormliż]] and it was through him that he started folk singing by coincidence as a thirteen year old at the Ħamrun Pigeon Club. There were five folk singers available, and although there an accepted rule that spirtu pront can be sung with odd numbers, with one singer in the role of ''il-farrad'', there was consensus that three pairs would be better.

is a folksinger from Naxxar. Born on the 13th October 1985, he was baptized in Bormla but at the age of two, his family moved to the locality in northern Malta. He has Scottish ancestry through his great-grandfather.
