Electronic Music Malta

Electronic Music Malta (EMM) is the first artist collective / voluntary organisation founded by Maltese Electronic Music artists.

This organisation was founded in mid 2015 and been a recognised Voluntary Organisation since September 2015. EMM has signed a 5 year agreement with "Fondazzjoni Kreattivita" which has so far led to the organisation of numerous educational, innovative and philanthropic events throughout 2015 and also in 2016.

Activities / Initiatives in 2015

• Voluntary Organisation Launch (Spazju Kreattiv) - Mini equiment expo, workshops, performances and membership enrolment - 30/5/2015;
• Science of Sound in Electronic Music (Spazju Kreattiv) - Day 1 - 106 Decibels - Discussion feat Dr Alec Lapira, Dr Imed Ben Moussa, Samuel Hayman - 25/09/2015;
• Science of Sound in Electronic Music (Spazju Kreattiv) - Day 2 - Oscillations - Workshop feat Peter Paul ('Tribali") and 'Edwin Balzan"- 26/09/2015;
• Strangehouse (Razzett l-Ahmar) - Equipment Expo / Fund-raising - 01/10/2015;
• Metro (Radio Malta 2) - Weekly Radio Program - started 05/10/2015 - still ongoing;
• I Dream of Wires (Spazju Kreattiv) - Documentary Screening & Modular Performance - 19/12/2015;
• Electric Cafe (Spazju Kreattiv) - Performance (proceeds going to MCCF) - 27/12/2015;

• Beyond Egg Crates (Noise Alliance, Qormi) - Members-only Activity on Effective Sound / Acoustic Treatment feat Steven Psaila - 20/02/2016;
• Circuits: An Electronic Music Convention (Spazju Kreattiv) - Documenting Maltese Electronic Music (with M3P Foundation), discussions, expositions, live radio, exhibition, installation, performances - 19 - 20/03/2016/
