Dun Ġwann Tabone

Dun Ġwann Tabone (1808-1894) known as Dun Ġwann tal-Għagin was a priest from Żejtun. He was a saintly person and worked in the Great Mission (Missjoni l-Kbira)[1]. Many facts in his life showed his holy life. He was a man of penance and a zealous priest. Dun Ġwann was the rector of the churches of The Nativity of Our Lady [2] and Our Lady of Mercy [3] in Żejtun. He died in 1894 loved by many. For many years after his death the cemetery of St. Gregory in Żejtun attracted many devotees and many people attributed miracles to his intercession.
