Danjeli Schembri is a musician and composer from Qrendi, Malta, who records and performs as Danjeli.

He first appeared on the Maltese music scene in the mid-2000s, with a healthy mix of live electronica and experimental music, often fusing in Maltese lyrics. Recording as a solo artist, his work first appeared on a Pinkpube release called Peace, Love & Electronic Music (PUBE008) released in the autum of 2005. Track Two from this debut EP was included in 10times10: A Pinkpube Compilation Vol. 1 (PUBE010). At this time he was also appearing live with other Pinkpube performers at Naasha in San Gwann.

His next Pinkpube release in 2006 Fyziks (PUBE013) was followed by Kakofonija (PUBE025) in 2007. In this album, Danjeli presented a new approach to a rawer form of electronic music fusing various styles with fresh experiments in folk, bittersweet lullabies and Maltese vocals. On its release, Pinkpube declared that "This is true Maltese electronic music". [1]

Danjeli has been a member of Sixth Simfoni and he has also performed with No Bling Show. He plays keyboards with Brikkuni. His song Iż-Żufjett, originally featured in Kakofonija, was re-recorded in a new version by Brikkuni on their debut album Kuntrabanda in 2008.

On Saturday 4 December 2010, his song L-Għanja tal-Għażżien, co-written and sung by Justin Galea took part in L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2010 and opened the 238th Mużika Mod Ieħor podcast on Saturday 11 December 2010.
