Dana McKeon is a singer-songwriter, guitarist & Malta's international beatbox pioneer. She was a female finalist at the 2012 Beatbox World Championships and placed 5th in the female category of the competition.

Dana's music debut was at the University of Malta's Singer/Songwriter Showcase back in December, 2008, when she took the stage with an acoustic guitar in hand and won the competition with her original song: Voice In My Head. This event kick-started her foray into the local & international music scene, where she's been making waves with her innovative beatboxing, singing & songwriting. She's developed into a solo artist and also performs with her skillful band-mates at local festivals.

This upcoming artist is not your everyday musician - her vast range of musical tastes and her ability to combine her skills within so many styles of music make her stand out as a breath of fresh air. Her vocal percussion techniques and synchronized multi-instrumentalisation highlight her individuality. She loves collaborations, has worked with numerous talented individuals on the island, and also forms part of the renowned 'No Bling' hip hop band.

Her performances span over a variety of events, including MTV Malta Music Week, Beardyman in Concert (Malta), The Farsons Great Beer Festival, The Malta Music Awards (with No Bling), The Bay Music Awards (with Southville Dancers), Notte Bianca, Campus Fest and No Bling Concerts. Dana has also performed in the UK, Finland and Sweden (where she crossed paths with Bruno Mars), and put Malta on the International Beatbox Map at the Beatbox Battle Convention Days 2010 in Berlin, Germany. It was here that she got to jam with many influential beatbox artists from around the world and set her sights on the 2012 Beatbox Battle World Championships.

In June 2011 Dana became the first female beatboxer to sign a non-exclusive contract with BEATBOOK - Europe's #1 Beatbox Booking Agency through Beatbox Battle ®.

Dana's passion for music has given her an incredible drive to keep growing as an artist, and with her raw talent, hard work and determination, there's no telling where this girl's going next! Stay tuned :)
