Dana was born on the 13 June 1989.  She attended school at [[St Dorothy's Convent]] as a child and eventually studied at [[De La Salle College]] Sixth Form between 2005 and 2007. McKeon's music debut was at the [[University of Malta]'s Singer/Songwriter Showcase in December 2008, when she took the stage with an acoustic guitar in hand and won the competition with her original song ''Voice In My Head''. This event kick-started her foray into the local music scene, where she has established herself as Malta's beatbox pioneer though her innovative beatboxing, singing and songwriting.

Her vocal percussion techniques and synchronized multi-instrumentalisation highlight her individuality. She loves collaborations, has worked with numerous talented individuals on the island, and also forms part of the [[No Bling Show]] hip hop band. She performs both as solo artist as well as with her own band, featuring guitarist [[Daniel Cassar]], bassist [[Shaun Abdilla]] and drummer [[Matthew Vella]].
Her vocal percussion techniques and synchronized multi-instrumentalisation highlight her individuality. She loves collaborations, has worked with numerous talented individuals on the island such as Ira Losco and Renzo Spiteri, and also formed part of the No Bling Show hip hop band.


Her performances span over a variety of events, including [[MTV Malta Music Week]], [[Beardyman]] in Concert (Malta), the [[Farsons Great Beer Festival]], the [[Malta Music Awards]] (with No Bling), the [[Bay Music Awards]] (with [[Southville Dancers]]), [[Notte Bianca]], [[Campus Fest]] and various No Bling concerts.  

Being a versatile touring artist, Dana has performed at high-profile events for the British Royal Family and large-scale concerts such as MTV Music Week, the London Paralympics and Lovebox Festival. To date, Dana has featured with the likes of Bruno Mars, John Newman, Rudimental, James Arthur, Misha B, Beardyman and DJ Pioneer.


In 2011 she graduated with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from the [[University of Malta]] and in June that year became the first female beatboxer to sign a non-exclusive contract with [[Beatbook]], Europe's premier beatbox booking agency through [[Beatbox Battle]].

Dana’s songwriting and production credits include chart-topping radio hits in Europe and song placements in short films and on TV networks including BBC, NBC Universal and ABC. To date she has released her debut EP (“Street Art”), a beatbox album (“Halcyon”) and various collections of songs tailored towards use in TV/film and for a variety of artists.

Dana has also performed in the UK, Finland and Sweden (where she crossed paths with [[Bruno Mars]]), and put Malta on the international beatbox map at the [[Beatbox Battle Convention Days]] 2010 in Berlin, Germany. It was there that she jammed with many influential beatbox artists from around the world and set her sights on the 2012 [[Beatbox Battle World Championships]].
Dana officially put Malta on the international beatbox map when she represented the island at the 2012 Beatbox Battle World Championships. She reached the Quarter-Finals of the competition and eventually ranked in the Top 5 of the Female Category. She also holds the 2012 and 2013 Female Vice-Champion titles at the UK Beatbox Championships.
