Curmudgeon is the moniker under which Timothy Garrett (former front-man of Wyrd Animals) releases his solo music.

The project was not considered seriously for a time by Garrett. He states that it was more of a moniker under which he could release covers, the first of which were a cover of Diamond Way (by JEFF the Brotherhood) and 'Anyone Else but You' (by The Moldy Peaches) (featuring Yews on vocals). However, after Wyrd Animals dissolved in late 2012, Garrett took a more serious approach to the project, and started recording demo's at home using his iPod.

Initially, Garrett wrote music which was similar to that of his previous project. However, after a début which did not go well, he changed his style and method of playing, and after some sonic experimentation came out with the first release, entitled Δ. (released 7/4/2013). After the success of this EP, Garrett decided to continue producing this type of music, conceding that he had found his true style of playing.
