Claudia Faniello (born 25 February 1988) is a popular singer from Malta.
She is decended from an Italian father and Maltese mother.
She made her public debut at age 14 with her brother Fabrizio, when we has at the height of his initial popularity after representing Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2001.
In 2005 she made her own mark during Hotspot, a TV show aimed at promoting new talents. The following year, she participated in the Maltasong for Europe 2006 and won the Best New Comer award at that contest. That same year she also won a Maltese song festival with the song Ma Nafx.
She returned to the national selection for Eurovision in 2007 & 2008. 2008 was her major impact year: at the Eurovision contest she was awarded both second and third placing with her Caravaggio and Sunrise. Eventually, Claudia also launched her first video clip for the song Wild Flower.
It was at this point that her passion for more rock orientated music started becoming evident to her fans. Following that she yet again participated in the national Eurovision finals for 2009 - 2012, garnering very respectful attention from her ever-growing multitude of fans. Her 2012 song Pure, written by Philip Vella and Gerard James Borg, made it to the top of the iTunes download charts during the week of the 2012 Malta Eurovision Song Contest.
In 2010 she launched her first album Convincingly Better, and from it released the single I Hate This Song along with a promotional music video for it. This brought here a nomination for Best Female Artist at that year's Malta Music Awards, and she was also invited as a guest artist during the Slovakian Eurovision national final, where she performed her 2010 contender for Malta's Eurovision entry Samsara.
Throughout her career she has made appearances in varies countries in Europe including Italy, Romania, Turkey, Montenegro & Serbia. She also collaborated with varies international DJs and rock bands. She is also in demand as a a singer for wedding masses, receptions, funerals, conferences, clubs, hotels, and other special events.
In 2012, she became a founding member of the Maltese rock band The Common Talk.
Her foray into the rock scene resulted in a change in direction for her participation in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2013, where she sang the song When It's Time, which she co-wrote with Errol Sammut.
