Christabelle Borg

Christabelle Borg born n 28 April, 1992. Is a Versatile 21 year old Maltese Singer from Malta and lives in l-Imġarr. And was know on stage as Christabelle.

Having been taught by both Maltese and foreign tutors Christabelle has been singing for the past 18 years. That sounds so old hehe… Christabelle was 3 years old when she started performing on stage with her first original song ‘Jien Inħobb Il-Ħelu’. From a very young age Christabelle was involved in the Music and Tv scene in fact She has hosted 2 TV shows ' Teen Traffic' and 'Teen Trouble' which have done extremely well In Malta as they were both nominated for the National TV awards.

Christabelle then decided to focus on her music so she took part in several competitions some of which being the Junior Eurovision song contest here in Malta and also in Louisiana where she managed to obtain the F.I.D.O.F Award and was also the winner of the competition. Christabelle has had gigs both in Malta and also away from our island , some of which being Bari, Battipaglia, Rome in Italy; Baton Rouge, Los Angeles and also San Francisco in the United States.

Christabelle has also had the opportunity to study music and vocal technique at the infamous Mount Sainte Mary’s College (SLS Technique) in Hollywood. The same school that has hosted Lucy Hale (Pretty little Liars) , Frankie Sanford (The Saturdays), Demi Lovato and several other famous stars. Christabelle has worked on several tracks which were all released on national radio and have reached the number 1 spot on Local Charts having both foreign and local artists in the same charts.

She has been working with American and British producers for the past 6 years and has released singles called "I Wanna Know", "Flame", "Naturally", "Everytime I bleed", "Everything About you", "Say" and "Fall for you" . Christabelle’s track “I wanna Know” was also used as background music for the show “My Super Sweet 16” aired on MTV. Christabelle has won 7 Bay Music Awards these being Best Solo Artist 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012 , Viewers Choice Award 2008,2008 and also the Best Song Award in 2009. Christabelle has had the privilege of performing at all of these award shows.

Besides being nominated for several other awards Christabelle has also won BEST r’n’b artist at the Malta Music Awards where Christabelle has also performed. In 2013 Christabelle was chosen to be part of the Bay Kids Song which is a song where money is collected for Puttinu Cares, alongside Ivan Grech Wintermoods, Matt Red Elektrik, Vittorio The Crowns and Rick Gypsy Genes and during this year Christabelle was also invited as a guest performer, performing a medley of original songs at the 10th Anniversary of the Bay Music Awards held at the Bay Arena.

Christabelle has fortunately had the opportunity to be chosen by Gigi D’Alessio himself to perform a duet with him on his tour back in 2009. Christabelle performed number 1 hit song Un Nuovo Bacio at Palalottomatica in Rome, in front of thousands of people. Christabelle has also been the opening act for Laura Pausini. Besides music Christabelle loves school, she has just graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and is now continuing her Masters in Accountancy at University of Malta.

Christabelle on 7 th February, 2014 get into the semi finali of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with her song 'Lovetricity' written by Gerard James Borg and composed by Magnus Kaxe. and on the 8 th February 2014 Christabelle placed in the eight place with 18 points.

On 21 November, 2014 Christabelle Borg taken part in the semi-final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015, with the song Rush, and she made it to the Final held at the Marsa Shipbuilding on Saturday 22 November, 2014 with the last sixteen song. She placed at the second place with 47 points.
