Bridget Bone is a pop rock Maltese band that first appeared on the local scene in 2009.

In 2007 when Julian Borg (Drums) and Karl Gauci (Vocals & Guitars) came up with the idea to form an alternative rock band. The idea emerged during an open air gig at Ta’ Qali. Neither of them played instruments, but they wanted to give it a try, after 3 months Karl started to play the guitar and ...a year later Julian started the drums. A couple of months into getting the hang of their new toys, they found Bertram Cachia, who eventually liked the idea of a band, and joined as the bassist. Keith Sammut (Guitars) was in the original line-up but by 2010 left the band due to his intense studies and although this was a very hard decision, he still manages to come and jam with the band as old habits die hard. He was replaced by the newest member of the band Andrew Francica (Guitars).

The prospect of success and their love for music triggered off a lot of enthusiasm which eventually led to the band getting hold of a decent place to jam and from there onwards new ideas and grungy riffs started to form Bridget Bone. The band claim influences by artists varying from classic rock giants such as AC/DC, Nirvana, Free and The Beatles to new alternative sounds from the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The Hives and Wolfmother.

Over the summer of 2009, the band went live for the first time at SAC fest, a festival held by St. Aloysius College. After that, they were booked for several gigs, and worked on their original tunes.
