Atlam

Atlam was a Maltese rock group formed in 1978 by Charles Saliba and his twin brothers Lizio and Stephen.

They originally came together with a line up consisting of three Xuereb brothers: Charles on guitars, Lizio on bass and Stephen on drums, and their cousin Charlie on keyboards.

Atlam appeared with Davy Jones and Tony Grimaud during a Rokarja AST gig at the Tigne Chapel on 9 July 1983.

In 1983 they also started working on a rock opera called Victims. The musical was never performed in public as they encountered some authoritative resistance from Caritas to their drug references. However, the music was recorded anyway in 1986 using a 4-track cassette player.

It was also around that time that the band formation changed slightly and they became known as V-Gile instead.
