In 2016, Andy decided to try and write the lyrics of his first song.  Together with composer, [[Mark Scicluna]], and [[Andrew Zammit]]’s arrangement, ''Ħabta u Sabta'' was created.  This song made it through as one of the finalists of the 2016 edition of [[L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2016]] - (Festival tal-Kanzunetta Maltija). This festival will be held in July with the participation of the [[PBS Orchestra]].
In July 2016, Andy took part in [[L-Għanja tal-Poplu 2016]] – (Festival Kanzunetta Maltija) with the song ''Ħabta u Sabta'', lyrics by himself, composed by [[Mark Scicluna]] with [[Andrew Zammit]]’s arrangement. He passed from the semi-final and was one of the twelve finalists out of the 144 entries which were submitted that year.  Both nights were held with the participation of the PBS Orchestra directed by Mro. [[Joe Brown]] and Mro. [[Paul Abela]], they were also televised live on national television.
 
Andy is currently a member of the Maltese Pop Boyband [[Avenue Sky]].


As a teacher, Andy has also been helping to co-ordinate his school’s Performing Arts Group, where he hopes to be able to keep promoting the love of performing with his students, aiming for a more holistic approach to their education.

Andy Muscat

Andy Muscat (born 29 October 1991) is a singer, song-writer and teacher.

Andy’s official journey in the theatrical world started at University, when he participated in KSU Students’ Fest (2011, 2012). From 2012 to 2015, he was part of EnKor Choir, performing in various kinds of shows ranging from weddings, to embassies and televised masses under the patronage of the President. He also performed in the 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions of the Strummin’ concert.

In 2013, Andy ventured into the world of musical theatre when he was one of the Pit Singers in the pantomime production, Little Red by Masquerade at the Manoel Theatre. In 2014, he formed part of the cast for Fiddler on The Roof. F.M. Theatre Productions, Manoel Theatre. In 2015-2016, he was one of the main chorus of another F.M. production, this time the pantomime, Robin Hood and the Babes in the wood at Manoel Theatre.
