Anġlu Buttigieg In-Najs is a noted folksinger living in Melbourne. Buttigieg is the son of Żeppi Buttigieg In-Najs. He sings in improvised verse, ballad and makjetti models and has folk sung in Melbourne,with Karmnu Briffa l-Gamamu, Ġorġ Bartolo Ġammika and Ġużeppi Camilleri l-Jimmy tal-Fjur, amongst others.
Attempts are being made to integrate the recordings of the Australia-based Maltese folk singing community, within the Maltese national memory project administered by the Malta National Archives.
