Amy Micallef was born on the 12th November 2004. She comes from Msida. She is a singer. She used to love singing and dancing at a very young age. First she attended gymnastics and dancing lessons and at the age of thirteen, in 2017, Amy started attending one-to-one vocal lessons at the Voice Lab Malta lead by Claudia Magrin. Her first appearance was in January 2018 when she competed in the local festival Ally-El Entertainment Singers Festival and placed first with the song Yours by Ella Enderson in the newcomers section. Meanwhile Amy took part in other local festivals and obtained great results and positive comments from the jury.

In July 2018 Amy had the opportunity to sing in the fifth edition of the Bled Golden Microphone Festival in Slovenia where she participated with the song Black Heart and Un Emozione Da Poco. In August 2018 Amy also took part in the International Song Festival held in MascaLucia, Sicily, where she was accompanied by a live band orchestra with the song I Who Have Nothing. In December 2018 she was a participant in the contest of Misraħ Il-Milied 2018 She also had the opportunity to sing at the fund-raising marathon of Istrina together with the Voice Lab choir.

In March 2019 Amy went through an amazing experience as one of the finalists in San Remo Junior Malta 2019 with the cover song I didn't Know My Own Strength. In 2019 Amy auditioned for the Tra-La-La song Festival held in Ohrid North Macedonia and was chosen as a participant where she made it to the final and had the amazing opportunity to sing the song ‘Purple Rain’. She also performed in the capital city Bitola as a finalist with a forty-piece live band orchestra.

Amy also participated a host singer on several TV programmes like Life & Style, Akila and The Wedding Plan. Another memorable experience for Amy was to be a finalist in the Saturday night TV programme The Entertainers singing challenge and sang live with the Spiteri Lucas band. She had the opportunity to sing a duet with Karen Debsattista with Karen’s original song Jien Ma naħdimx.

In February 2021 Amy participated in a local a festival by Erseb Productions Raise Your Voice and she placed first with the song Drivers Licence and You Know I’m No Good.

She is now one of the finalists in Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2021 held on Saturday 18th September 2021. She will be competing with the song Staġun Ġdid, lyrics by Emil Calleja Bayliss and music by Mark Spiteri Lucas.
