From her younger age, Alexia was showing passion towards singing, dancing and added to the drama, infact when she was in kindergarten class she always showed great enthusiasm to participate in activities that were made. When she was only eight years has been attending dance lessons for the Ballroom and Latin American where which brings managed bronze medals, silver and gold. During 1993 she join the flok group of [[Paul Curmi Dancers]] who were giving exhibitions in several local hotels.

Alexia Schembri

Alexia Schembri was born on 26 Febuary, 1980 at St Luke’s Hospital Pietà And grow up at several places from time to time with her family first at l-Imsida, Ħamrun, Burmarrad and Rabat after she married and moved to Santa Venera. She is a singer author. Alexia is married to composer and arranger Chan Vella and got a son named Avner.

From her younger age, Alexia was showing passion towards singing, dancing and added to the drama, infact when she was in kindergarten class she always showed great enthusiasm to participate in activities that were made. When she was only eight years has been attending dance lessons for the Ballroom and Latin American where which brings managed bronze medals, silver and gold. During 1993 she join the flok group of Paul Curmi Dancers who were giving exhibitions in several local hotels.

Between 1996 and 1997 she began taking guitar lessons where today the day playing both electric guitar as well as where that same year began to attend to voice lessons. Alexia then began to participate as a singer in several local festivals which achieved several successes.

During 2000 began to attend courses of drama and later took part in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar, the musical Ħmistax, Santa Rita ta’ Cassia, and Ir-Rebbieħ, among many others. Besides these, she has taken part in several teleserial as KC.

Alexia also began writing the words of the songs where you write lyrics both in Maltese and English. Several songs written their words went well and even won festivals including Festival l-Għaqda fil-Melodija, L-Għanja tal-Maltin, Ilwien Muzikali and L-Għanja tal-Poplu where with song Apokalissi placed third. Another huge success for Alexia was with the song Qalb iċ-Ċpar who placed second in the Korkors Kanżunetta Indipendenza And a few months after with the song Amen placed First place in the festival Ilwien l-Istilel. Apart from these it also wrote the words for various Sigl programs.

In 2009 Alexia participated as an author in the Malta Song for Europe with the song Promises along with her husband the composer Chan Vella, and sung by Vittorio Gauci and Dorothy Bezzina, in 2010 once again took part with her husband with the number Moments.

In 2010 she took part in the final night of Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza with the song Illuzzjoni Dorothy Bezzina while in 2011 was the author of the songs Malta Ġrajjietha by Nadine Axisa and Fiona Cauchi and Għad Fadal Għada (Remains For Tomorrow) by Silent Shout formed by Christian Arding, Dario Bezzina and her brother Daryl Schembri.

In 2013 Alexia participated again as the perpetrator in Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza with two songs Fejn Hemm L-Għaqda Hemm is-Saħħa by Christian Arding, and Nibqa’ sung by Janice Mangion.

Currently together with her husband Chan, is running on a larger musical projects of his work will be recording a new Band and local singers even overseas.
