He has folk sung with some of the greats from the 1960s and 1970s, including [[Żaren Mifsud ta' Vestru]].

Żaru Muscat tal-Metalla.

is an improvised verse folk singer. He was born on the 10th of June 1939 and hails from l-Imġarr and is probably the most renowned folksinger from north western Malta.

Muscat is a shy, inwardly character who despises antagonistic folk singing in improvised verse, but prefers għana trankwilla, where despite expressing his quick wit, the folksinger avoids polemical lyrics that can verge on the personal or through their double entendre offend minorities or individuals with lesser abilities. He has folk sung with some of the greats from the 1960s and 1970s, including Żaren Mifsud ta' Vestru.

He is still very active on the għana circuit and has performed in bouts with Fredu Abela ż-Żejtuni, Anġlu Theuma tal-Kina, Żeppi Ellul ta' Fellusu and Żaren Ellul ta' Fellusu.
