Karmnu Briffa l-Gamamu was an improvised verse folk singer. Born on 30th November 1935, he hailed from Birkirkara. Briffa emigrated to Australia, and that is where most of his folk singing was based. He took part in folk singing bouts that included Karmenu Debono l-Pikipakk, Mikiel Bonnici n-Negli and Mikiel Cutajar Is-Superstar.
