Besides founding the IOI in Malta she was also one of the founders of the Club of Rome, a group of scientists focusing on worldwide environmental problems. <br /> <br /> Reuters reported that Mann Borgese was a keen skier and had been at [[St. Moritz]] in the southeastern Grisons on a winter sports holiday and died during the night after suffering a lung infection.
