Wyrd Animals was a musicial group from Malta active since 2012.
The group came together in March 2011 with Brandel Scicluna on drums, Kyle Cucciardi on guitar and Timothy Garrett (now performing his solo music as Curmudgeon) on bass and vocals.

On Friday 13 July 2012 they appeared with Michael Bugeja on Rockna ahead of a gig they were meant to give on 28 July. However, this was postponed and on 4 August 2012 they had their debut gig at the Coach and Horses in Msida along with Hey Sus. This show was recorded by Emerson Vella (Wombat Audio) and they released it as a pay-what-you-want EP on Bandcamp. The track The Beach Song was featured on Toni Sant's Mużika Mod Ieħor podcat on Saturday 18 August 2012.
Initially, Garrett wrote music which was similar to that of his previous project. However, after a début which did not go well, he changed his style and method of playing, and after some sonic experimentation came out with the first release, entitled Δ. (released 7/4/2013). Wyrd Animals is a musicial group from Malta active since 2012.
